Computer Talk takes support very seriously. Some companies offer support at low rates and claim they will be with you all the way, dealing with anything and everything that may go wrong. This is a false economy because high quality support of an unlimited nature cannot be achieved on low budgets. Quality staff and a strong support ethic cost money and there is no easy way around it.

The Computer Talk way is simple... to respond as quickly as possible, assess the problem and fix it. Our reputation for this is second to none. You should always look for recommendation when it comes to support. Anyone can supply and install hardware and software, the real test is what that supplier does when something goes wrong. We have a substantial list of satisfied "repeat business" customers to testify to our support services since 1994.

Our support services in brief...

Chargeable Visits
You can request the assistance of Computer Talk for any problem you have on a chargeable basis. Our experience and expertise will get to the bottom of the issue and offer you a course of action to rectify the problem. You do not need a contract to get this support.

Telephone, e-mail and Remote Access support
This is a pre-paid service providing telephone, e-mail and remote access support only. Our Technicians will stick with you to get the problem solved. Calls are logged in our database to ensure your issue is followed through and you get a complete answer to your problem. Faults which require on-site assistance can be dealt with on a chargeable basis.

Secondary Server Care
This service includes...

  1. unlimited Telephone and e-mail support
  2. unlimited remote access support
  3. unlimited on-site support
  4. Technician Interview assistance

Server support is typically for secondary schools where the ICT support staff need assistance with Server issues and deeper technical problems which can arise. We do of course assist with workstation issues and offer your technicians guidance and help to clear faults. Cost is tailored to take in to account the fact that your technicians are capable of dealing with all the normal day to day issues.

 

Primary Care
This is our top level of support. Primary schools love this support and we have customers who have renewed every year right from when we first offered the service 8 years ago. It is unique, tried and tested.

Basically we take care of any problems you have on your network. It is a type of managed system but without the usual restrictions placed on you.

Primary Care Plus
In more recent years schools have also requested some regular on-site preventative support which is not in response to a problem. Computer Talk has been performing pro-active and preventative support for years however it has not always been necessary to come to site to do this. Following requests for an on-site service which offers more this pro-active support can be bolted on to the main contract providing you with an unmatched level of support. You can have a half day Technician visit once per week or once per fortnight plus unlimited on-site responses whenever you need them.

  1. So there is no need to decide if it is an “emergency”
  2. No need to spend ages on a phone to a help desk trying different things when you need to be teaching
  3. No need to worry about unbudgeted costs

 

During the regular visit the Technician can do whatever you need them to do. Install software, build a new laptop, provide some informal training, discuss issues you have and give some advice or just give the system a thorough check over.
