Category 5e

Despite the emergence of Category 6 and 6A we still install more Category 5E than anything else. Computer Talk's own Technicians install all of our cabling systems providing up to 1Gbps to the desk. Computer Talk mainly uses Krone components unless otherwise specified to ensure absolute compliance with the necessary industry standards and absolute compliance with our own standards of product.

All systems are tested using the latest testing equipment to ensure that your cabling system will perform as expected. In fact our use of top quality components ensures there is plenty of overhead in the test results. This means that you can rest assured that your system is better than the standard. Whether you need one outlet or 1,000 outlets we can do the job.

Computer Talk can provide costs for a Category 6 systems should you prefer. The requirements for installation of category 6 are far more stringent than category 5e and the component costs are higher. Category 6A is a further step up. Therefore the overall cost can be prohibitive, however some customers like to be at the leading edge of technology. We would be happy to discuss the pros and cons of category 6 over category 5e for your particular situation.

Computer Talk once again does all of this in-house. Our Technicians are trained and very capable of installing major backbone fibre optic systems. Using OM3 cables we once again ensure your backbone is well inside the necessary tolerances with 10Gbps capability. Testing is performed with the latest testers.
